Definitions
Domestic Violence:
Domestic violence refers to a pattern of assaultive and coercive behaviors that adults or adolescents use against their intimate partners. It may include physical, sexual and psychological attacks, even economic coercion.

Sexual Assault: Sexual assault can be any type of sexual activity that you do not agree to, including inappropriate touching, vaginal penetration, sexual intercourse, rape, attempted rape, and child molestation. Sexual assault and abuse can also be verbal, visual, or any other form which forces a person to particpate in unwanted sexual contact or attention like voyeurism, exhibitionism, incest, forced prostitution or exposure to pornography, and sexual harassment. It can happen in different situations, by a stranger in an isolated place, on a date, or during intimate partner or domestic violence. Your partner may also try to sabotage your birth control or pressure you to become pretnant - including by damaging condoms and destroying contraceptives. These behaviors are defined as "reproductive coercsion".

Educate yourself on "date rape" drugs. They can be slipped into a drink when a victim is ont looking. Never leave your drink unattended - no matter where you are. Try to always be aware of your surroundings. Date rape drugs make a person unable to resist assault and have a type of memory loss so the victim doesn't know what happened.

Dating Violence: Dating violence is a pattern of assaultive and/or coercive behaviors, including physical, sexual, and psychological attacks, as well as economic coercion, that adults or adolescents use against their intimate partner.

Elder Abuse: Elder abuse is any act, failure to act, or incitement to act done willfully, knowingly, or recklessly through words or physical action which causes or could cause mental or physical injury or death. This includes verbal, sexual, mental/psychological, or physical elder abuse, including corporal pnishment, involuntary seclusion, or any other actions within this definition.
