Ages 4-5 - Middle Childhood These years mark a turning point for children. At this age, kids are energetic and are becoming more independent. In these years when kids are forming a sense of themselves, social skills are one of the most important things they will learn. Families contribute greatly to this time, by helping children eat right (especially when they are away from home), reading together, and by talking with their children as they begin learning new ideas. |
